Winter Olympics

Are you watching the Opening Ceremonies?  Share your thoughts in the comments section.

I'll use this post to keep us updated about our Winter Olympics project.

Think about this statement. What does it mean and how does it relate to sports you play?

"The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph, but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered, but to have fought well." Olympic Creed

"Swifter, Higher, Stronger"

  2. Hi Aisling!

I just heard the announcer say that they would be talking to her coming up soon. Are you watching the Opening Ceremonies? I know Caroline is because she posted about it in the Twilight section of the book blog.

  4. Yes, Caroline. Sometimes it seems the Opening Ceremony has nothing to do with the sports, but I heard someone interviewed last night who said it's all about entertaining the athletes before they compete. I hope they had fun.
