Weekend Homework -

There is no written weekend homework except for the students I spoke to who owed any or all of the following:

Roald Dahl book review
Halloween final draft

Beatitudes project
Saints project (about either St. John Baptiste de la Salle or Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton)



Thursday Homework

Read for 20 minutes.
Write good copy of book review on looseleaf with proper heading.
                        Be sure you have the checklists to hand in with it.

Math – both sides of sheet. Be sure to follow directions.

Wordly Wise – 5 C, D, and E
Chapter 5 test tomorrow



Wednesday Homework

Read for 20 minutes

ELA - workbook page 17 (nouns)

Wordly Wise - 5 A & B

Religion - page 84
Math - study for multiplication quiz (0 - 5) 


Think about what you have to do to fulfill your contract.

Reading:  Read for 20 minutes.

~ in notebook write fact families for 2 times tables (from 0 - 12)

Read for 20 minutes.

Reading – corrections. Go back and find where the answer is in the
story and write out where you found it. (Write the evidence that
tells you the answer.) Do it neatly and completely on looseleaf.

Choose your top 2 favorite Willy Wonka candy presentations. On looseleaf, write a paragraph each explaining why you chose them.

Note re upcoming tests:

Friday - Math test Properties of Addition (p. 68 - Commutative, Associative, Identity), Addition strategies (p. 70 - doubling and rounding up) and subtraction concepts (p. 72-73 - Take Away, Compare, Part of a whole,  and "How many more are needed".
Of course there will be word problems based on these concepts.

Monday - Social Studies (Lesson 3 and maps only)
Tuesday - Wordly Wise Lesson 4 (Spelling and  Vocab)

how you do this.
Be sure to include:
~ What gifts God has given you.
~ How you can use those gifts to benefit others.
~ How you can use those gifts for the glory of God.

Weekend homework -

Read for 15 minutes each day.

Redo Science test.

Wednesday Homework

Read for 15 minutes in The WitchesSS - read pages 28 - 34
        copy "Summarize the Lesson" on page 34 into your notebook
        do ALL of the questions on p. 34 in notebook

Wordly Wise - 3E and study for spelling and vocab test.  The tests will be the same as they always are - just on the same day.

Tuesday Homework

Read for 15 minutes in The Witches. Decide which Roald Dahl book is your favorite.

Math -  Workbook page 15
Religion - Study for test
                Remember to choose one Beatitude and be prepared to write the Beatitude, explain what it means and give an example of how you can live it.

Think Reading - in notebook do pages 19 - 23
Wordly Wise - 3D
