Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all!
Thank you to everyone for your generosity. You overwhelm me!
FYI - Nothing new went home today - except for leftover food and presents!

Vacation work -
I gave the children a letter and 2 sets of vacation practice today. The ELA should take no more than 50 minutes since that is the time allowed. The Math allows approximately 50 minutes - 1 hour for each of the three sections.
I'll reiterate what was in the letter - please don't help with any questions (even to tell what a word means). If there's something they don't understand, they should make a best guess and put a star beside it. The reasoning is twofold. 1) When the actual tests are given in May, I'm not allowed to answer any questions so I need to get them in the habit of thinking it through and making the best choice based on what they know, and 2) Seeing what causes problems helps me to know what we still need to work on.
Thank you!
